From The Holocene

Holocene (hŏl'әsēn', hō'lәsēn')
”The more recent of the two epochs of the Quaternary Period, beginning at the end of the last major Ice Age, about 10,000 years ago. It is characterized by the development of human civilizations. Also called Recent.

The Holocene encompasses the growth and impacts of the human species worldwide, including all its written history, development of major civilizations, and overall significant transition toward urban living in the present.” -Wikipedia

We cycle through life on this planet relatively fast. Every new wave of humans trying to outdo the last. As we create we also destroy. We do this in large groups. We do this as individuals. All of the choices and “progress” of humans before us have lead to where we are now. Just like the choices we make will determine elements of the future populations.

The human person, in its collective pursuit of the future, forgets the self and the now.

There are moments where we see the need for help but have perceived boundaries that stop us.
